In this instruction, we analyze import from Excel, you can learn how to import from Trello or Jira at the links: Trello and Jira. Click «CSV/XLS».

After that, we upload the file we need in the gray field and select «Setup».

Set up the import using the «Setup» button.

Put «Card title» on the column with your tasks.

When imported, the rows in that column will become cards and move to the first column of the board. Please note that all your tasks must be in the same column in Excel.

You can immediately add labels to the cards. To do this, select «Labels» in the column type and put your labels in the rows corresponding to the tasks. These marks will be transferred to the cards you imported, and you can also put them on new ones.

Similarly, you can choose the size, participants and other card settings. Put the appropriate column type next to the desired column.

Once the setup is complete, click «Import» and wait for the process to finish (it won't take long).

Done! Refresh the page and you will see your cards.

How to import cards into different columns?

If you want to place tasks in different columns («Queue», «In Progress», «Done»), you can do this as follows:

  1. Put all your tasks in one Excel column

  2. In the adjacent columns, enter the dates when the tasks were created separately for the tasks that you want to transfer to Queue, In Progress, and Done. For example, in the first column of dates, dates should be entered only in those cells that correspond to the «Queue» tasks, in the second – in those that correspond to the «In Progress» tasks, and so on. The resulting Excel spreadsheet should look something like this:

3. In the import setting, select «Card Move Date» for date columns. FlowFast will prompt you to choose which column to import into, and what format the date is in.
