Creating cards based on emails

FlowFast allows you to generate a special email address. By sending an email to such an address you will create a card in the right place. All files that you have attached to the email will be uploaded to the card.

Important! The volume of attached files can be up to 20MB.  If the size of attachments is larger, a card will not be created. To attach large files to cards, we recommend using cloud storages and attaching links to the required files in your e-mail.

To get a special address, you need to have administrator rights on a space.

  1. Open the menu, place your cursor on the desired space. Click on the three dots to the right of the space name and select "Space settings"

  2. In the window that opens, select the Email integration section. Specify the board/column/track you want. Copy the link.

Some companies create an address that is convenient for them, e.g. support@mycompany.com, and set up forwarding from this email address to a special FlowFast address. In this way it is possible to make a short name for the mailbox.

Any external addressee can create cards in this way, you do not need to have a FlowFast account.

Creating a comment from an email

If you have received a card notification to your FlowFast mail address, you can reply to such an email. A reply to an email is converted into a comment on a card. You can attach files to the card.

If you want to give someone the opportunity to write a letter in a comment to a card, you can get a special address by following these steps:

  1. Open the target card;

  2. Click on the three dots. In the drop-down menu select the "Email comments" option

  1. Copy the link and pass it on to your colleagues.

Sending a comment from FlowFast to an external recipient

Your comment in the card can be sent to an external recipient by email.

  1. Open the card, write a comment. In the comment box, click on the letter icon

  1. A line will appear below the comment box to enter the recipient's address

After you have sent a comment, an email will be sent to the addressee with the text of your comment.

Attention! In addition to your comment, the addressee will also receive a description of the card in an email.
