Slack is the leading enterprise communication solution. Chats, channels, integrations with numerous services and applications.

You can connect a space to a channel in Slack and all events happening in the space will be broadcasted in Slack.

Slack-bot features

– Easy way to set up notifications about cards, boards and spaces; 

– Create cards in FlowFast directly from messages in Slack - nothing will be forgotten, create tasks on the go!

– Quickly show status across spaces. Control limits, blockings, deadlines right in messenger;

– Share information on cards. Send a link to the card to the channel and it will be converted into a summary of the task.

How to connect

General setup

The bot in Slack is connected for the whole company at once. Therefore, the actions below should be done once, so that later the whole team can individually configure the bot already in the messenger.

To connect:

1. Click on your avatar in the top right corner of FlowFast, then "Profile settings"

2. In the window that opens, select "Notification settings", "Bots" tab

3. Select "Setup slack bot"

4. Follow the instructions (they will appear after going to the section with the bot) - you will need to specify your space in Slack, your account in FlowFast and any channel - it doesn't play a big role. The notifications can be set up later.

5. Check that the FlowFast bot has been added to Slack - it should show up in the list of installed Apps.

6. That's it, your team can work with the FlowFast bot.

Individual set up

Now everyone who wants to use the bot must login. To do this in Slack, go to any channel, type the command /flowfast authorize your@email and press "Enter".

You now have a personal bot that you can configure to suit you personally.

To see what the bot can do, type /flowfast help.

In the channel or chat where you want to receive notifications, you need to write the command /flowfast subscribe with the required parameters. The selected notifications will then be sent there.

If the channel is private, remember to add a bot to it first. This can be done by inviting a new user.

How to block/unblock cards in Slack

You can block/unblock a card in FlowFast without leaving Slack.

In the quick actions menu in the notification from the FlowFast bot select "Block" and in the dialog that opens enter the reason for blocking - the FlowFast bot will block the card and send a message to the notification thread about the successful blocking. (Only text blocking is available).

If the card is already blocked - instead of the item "Block" in the quick actions menu there will be an item "Unblock" one, using it you can unblock the card in a few clicks.
