A tag is a coloured label with text visible on the front of the card. You can make up your own names for the tags. An unlimited number of tags can be added to any card.
In this article you will learn:
How and why to use tags;
How to add a tag;
How to edit a tag;
How to remove a tag from a card;
How to remove unwanted tags.
1. To indicate an important feature of a card
For example, developers have tags on bug cards indicating in which operating system the bugs occur.
Оn the editor's board, tags indicate where the material will be published, so that one look at the board reveals whether or not there is any skew in the areas.
2. To find the cards easily
Click on a tag on the card facade or go to Filters → Tags → select a tag. This will help find all cards with this tag in the space.
1. Add a tag field to the card. Click the purple plus button and select Tags.
2. Select a tag from the tooltips or add a new tag
Important: The user only sees the tags in the tooltips that he/she has access to. For example, there is a label A on space B that the user does not have access to. In this case he will not see label A in the tooltips.
Adding tags automatically
Tags can be added automatically to all cards on the board. To do this, open the context menu of the board and add default tags:
The same option is available for columns and lanes.
To do this, click the three dots next to the column or lane you wish to add default tags to.
Important: Only new cards will be affected by the default tagging settings. Cards that have already been on the board will remain unchanged. You must manually add tags to them.
Only users with the access rights to the "Tags" administrative section can edit tags.
Method 1: Click the pencil icon next to the tag. In the window that appears, edit the name or color of the tag.
Method 2: The tag can also be edited in the Tags administrative section. This option is available to account administrators and to those who have access rights to the section.
Hover your cursor over the tag and click the cross that appears on the coloured field.
Only users with access rights to the "Tags" administrative section can remove tags.
Go to Administration → Tags.
Click the "Remove" button next to the tag you want to remove. When you delete a tag, it will disappear from tooltips and from the cards where it was added.
