Card/task size

The size of a task usually indicates how many resources it will take to complete it.

Cards in FlowFast can be rated in any units of measure you like: hours, story points, dollars/euros or T-shirt sizes (S, M, L). It depends on how you agree with the team. It is desirable to introduce a unified scoring system for tasks.

The size is shown on the front of the card with the lightning bolt icon.

How to set the size of the card

Open the card, click the purple button in the top left corner and select the "Size" option.

The "Size" field will then appear in the card. Then click the "Set size" link and enter the value. Click "Save".

Changing or deleting the size of a card

Open the card, click on the current value in the "Size" field. In the window that opens, you can change the size estimate of the task or remove it.

Viewing card sizes in a column, lane or board

You can view the total size of all cards that are in a column, lane or entire board. This makes it easier to manage your team resources.

You can also set a WIP limit for lane or column by card size. That is, set the maximum amount of work that can be on a particular stage or lane simultaneously.

For example, you and your team have agreed that you can work on any number of cards at a time, as long as their total size does not exceed 10.

If you set the WIP limit to 10, then colleagues will not be able to take on any new tasks until they have completed the previous ones.
