In FlowFast you can place the same board in multiple spaces. In doing so, all movements and changes of cards on that board will be displayed at once in all spaces where it is placed.
In this article you will learn:
Why to place one board in multiple spaces;
How to place an existing board in multiple spaces;
Properties of boards placed simultaneously in multiple spaces.
Convenient team management for the manager
If each department in the company has a separate space, the manager can place their boards in their own space and see what is happening in the organization as a whole.
Inviting 'external' performers to work together
If you want to include a freelancer in a collaborative effort within FlowFast, you need to do the following:
Create a space and add a freelancer board to it;
Invite the freelancer into that space;
Add the freelancer's created board to the spaces you want.
Now the freelancer gets tasks from you in FlowFast, working from his board only, and you work with him from the space you need.
Shared queue for multiple departments
Let's say you have multiple teams taking tasks from the same queue. How do you make this queue available to all teams?
You create a one-column board and call it "Queue";
Place the "Queue" on the teams' spaces.
Now the teams don't have to switch between spaces to work with a single queue.
Synchronize different teams with related functions
Suppose a company has different departments with their own spaces, but some of their functions are common. You don't have to create a separate space for this function.
Create a board for this function;
Place it simultaneously on all team spaces that work with it.
All departments will be able to work with this board and see the progress of the tasks. They won't need to switch between each other's spaces to do this.
Space to visualize the entire workload
Suppose you have one employee working on several projects, reflected on boards that are placed in different spaces. And you would like to see his full workload and task deadlines from all the spaces.
Create a separate space;
Add all the necessary boards in which this employee is involved;
Use the filter on one space rather than separately on each space.
Option 1.
Go to the space to which you want to add an existing board from another space.
Click the "Add" button at the top and select the "Board from another space" option.
In the window that opens, select the name of the board you want and click on it. The board will then appear on the selected space.
Option 2
Open the menu on the left side.
Hover your cursor over the name of the space where you want to add the board. Click on the plus sign to the right of the space name.
In the menu that appears, click "Place existing board.
In the window that appears, select the name of the board you want and click on it. The board will then appear on the selected space.
All users who are on the spaces where the board is located can perform actions with the cards.
All changes to cards on these boards are displayed simultaneously on all the spaces where the boards are located.
Users will have the same access to that board as to all the spaces where it is located (admin, writer, commentator);
Removing a board from an initial space will not cause it to be removed from the new space.
