Due date. The deadline of the card

In the card, you can specify by which date it should be finished, to do so:

Add the "Due date" field to the card.

  1. Click on the purple button and in the drop-down menu, click on "Due date".

  1. Set due date by choosing the required date and time.

The deadline for the task will be displayed on the front of the card (unless compact or custom view without due dates is enabled):

If you need to inform your employees that the task has the highest priority, tick the "Do it ASAP" box.

The red "ASAP" sign will light up next to the deadline on the card facade:

To add a time, in the same box as the date selection, tick the "Set time" box.

If the time is not set, the deadline is essentially any time within your chosen day. That is, if the card is completed at 11:59 PM on the day you select, the system will consider the card to be completed on time.

The system relies on the time zone settings of your browser (which in turn relies on the settings of your operating system).

For example, if you work in Rome and specify a deadline with a time, the user from Helsinki will see an offset deadline.

If the task does not make sense after the date you selected, then tick the "Expires later" box.

For example, if you are preparing for a New Year marketing campaign, then launching it in January probably doesn't make sense, so check this box along with the date.

The card will then display a bombshell sign along with the date, signalling that after that date, the card will no longer be relevant.

Displaying card deadlines on the board

The deadline is displayed on the front of the closed card.

If the deadline is overdue, the deadline will be highlighted in red.

If the task is finished and the cards is moved to the 'Done' type of column before the deadline, the date on the card will be green.
