Template checklists

If you always need to do the same activities at a certain stage of your work, you don't need to create a new checklist for them each time.

Template checklists allow you to set up "to-do lists" for a column or for the whole board, which will automatically be added to each card that goes into the right column (or board).

Let's explain with an example

Let's say you have a "Contract preparation" column. As part of this stage of the process you must always perform certain actions, for example:

1. Retrieve the latest actual contract from the "Contracts" folder;

2. Before sending the contract to the client, send it to the supervisor for review.

Creating a checklist for the card each time is inconvenient, so you can create a template checklist called "Preparatory actions", and add steps from the list above (1 and 2) to its items. Now every time the card reaches this column, it will create a list of two items to be completed.

There can be many template checklists.

Creating a template checklist

To create a new template checklist, go to the column or board menu and select "Template сhecklists":

In the window that appears, click "Add checklist", fill in the name, and select which lanes and card types you want the checklist to be applied to.

Next, click "Create" and add the items to the checklist template itself.

Now when you move the card to the column with the template checklist, it will automatically appear inside the card and on the front.

*If a template checklist is assigned to the entire board, this checklist will be applied to the card when it is placed in any of the columns.

Copy, move, edit, and delete template checklists

Go to the column or board menu and select Template checklists. In the window that appears, click the three dots to the right of the name of the desired checklist. From the drop-down menu, select the desired action.
