Calendar integration

You can integrate two types of events into your calendar:

- due date events for tasks that are relevant to you;

- due date events for tasks on any space you have access to.

URL Link Generation

To generate a URL link to your events

  1. Click on your avatar in the upper right corner of FlowFast, then "Profile Settings"

  1. Select the “Calendar integration” subsection. Click “Create“ button

  1. Copy a link to add a calendar

To generate a URL link according to space events

  1. Open the menu. Under "Spaces", hover your cursor over the space which events you want to integrate into your calendar. Click on the three dots to the right of the space name, then in the drop-down menu "Space Settings"

  1. In the window that appears, click on Calendar integration, then on the "Create" button

  1. Optionally choose which type of cards you will track due dates for. Copy link to clipboard

Once you have received the link for integration, add this calendar to yours.

Google Calendar Connection

  1. Open your google calendar. Click on the plus to the right of the "Other Calendars" section

  1. In the drop-down menu, select "From URL"

  1. Paste the previously created URL from FlowFast, click "Add calendar".

It takes some time between setting / updating the due date in the cards and the reflection of this information in Google calendar.

Important: The time intervals for the updates depend on the selected services. FlowFast does not set update intervals on its side.

Display of cards in the calendar

When you have set up the integration and added the link calendar you can see your tasks. They are displayed as follows:

  • Those cards that you have had time in the due date field in FlowFast will take up an hour slot in the calendar (the start time corresponds to the time specified in the card).

  • If you have tasks that have only a date in the deadline in FlowFast without time, they will follow each other in 15-minute intervals.

  • The same goes for checklist items (as you can only set a date for them).

Problems with updating connected calendars

Updating problems can occur when you connect a calendar via the Google or Outlook web interface.

There is no problem with updating when the calendar is added to the Outlook desktop application via "Add Internet Calendar" without linking to any account. Updates via desktop Outlook happen instantly.

If you need to add a link to an ical to your Google account and you have trouble syncing, you can use a script for Google Calendar. It runs through your calendars and tasks at a selected interval, and forces them into syncing.

If you need to sync your Google account calendars across all devices (e.g. Outlook for Android) you can use this script: https://github.com/derekantrican/GAS-ICS-Syncю
